Need help using the HTU Graz portal? Below are answers to the most common questions.

Borrowing (Verleih)

Open Verleih in the navigation and browse the categories. Pick a category, choose your lending window and event details, select the items you need and confirm the request. You must be signed in to place a request. Browse the categories

Requests need some lead time so the team can prepare your lending — typically about a week, depending on the category. The maximum lending duration also depends on the category; the request form shows the exact limits that apply.

Not yet. A new request is pending until a staff member (Sachbearbeiter) accepts it — acceptance is what reserves the items for your time frame. You will be notified as your request is processed.

  • Open – your request has been submitted and awaits a staff member.
  • Assigned – a staff member accepted the request; the items are reserved for you.
  • Issued – you picked the items up; they are on loan.
  • Returned – the items are back; the lending is complete.
  • Cancelled – you cancelled the request before pickup.

Open My Lendings in the navigation to see all your requests, their current state and details. Go to My Lendings

Open the lending under My Lendings and use the cancel action. You can cancel as long as the items have not been handed out yet; afterwards, please contact the Verleih team.

Every item has an availability calendar — open the item in the catalogue and choose View calendar. Booked days are colour-coded (borrowed, reserved or pending) and show the exact time frame of each booking, so you can plan around existing reservations. Who booked an item is never shown to other members. Browse the items
